Ristorante Villa Cedrino, nestled along SP38 in the picturesque town of Dorgali, Italy, is a true culinary gem that beckons lovers of refined Mediterranean cuisine and breathtaking vistas. This charming eatery offers a dining experience where exquisite flavors and stunning landscapes harmoniously converge, creating moments that linger in both memory and palate.
At the heart of Villa Cedrino’s appeal is its dedication to authenticity and quality. Guests rave about the tapas-style starters like the delicate tartare and perfectly grilled cuttlefish, bursting with the fresh, briny essence of the Mediterranean sea. The main courses highlight seasonal and regional ingredients, exemplified by the tender, flavorful tuna and the light yet vibrant spaghetti tossed with fresh tomatoes and fragrant pesto. Each dish is a thoughtful orchestration of textures and flavors—a true delight for the senses.
The restaurant’s atmosphere is elevated by panoramic views of the tranquil Lago Cedrino and the surrounding mountains that create a natural masterpiece. Imagine savoring your meal as the sun gently dips behind the horizon, casting golden light over the water—a scene that customers like Bartek Kozłowiec and A Minchella found unforgettable. The attentive and warm staff enhance this tranquil setting, effortlessly balancing professional service with genuine hospitality. Whether you arrive for a spontaneous lunch, as one guest did, or a romantic dinner, the setting never fails to impress.
While most diners sing praises of the antipasti—like the luxurious poached egg with foamy pecorino cream and asparagus or the delicate shrimp crudo—Villa Cedrino occasionally evokes mixed feelings regarding some main courses, reflecting a boldness and commitment to culinary experimentation. Yet, the overall experience remains overwhelmingly positive, offering a place where both the palate and the soul are nourished.
One small note is the restaurant’s music choice, which some found surprisingly upbeat, contrasting with the otherwise serene environment. However, easy parking and a sincere, unpretentious charm keep guests coming back to relish the unmistakable magic of this spot.
For those seeking not just a meal but an evocative journey through Sardinian flavors framed by one of Italy’s most mesmerizing landscapes, Ristorante Villa Cedrino stands out as an exquisite destination. It invites you to slow down, indulge deeply, and leave with a sense of pure satisfaction and wonder.

Bella vista e personale attento. Consigliato

The most incredible thing about this place is the view. Such an incredible vista of the mountains and lake Cedrino. The staff were so accommodating and friendly. The food was good and decent portions. We shared a main and the chef helpfully portioned it onto two plate for us. The music was very off putting. They were playing some kind of dance music which felt more like Ibiza. Very easy to park.

This is a great place to come for dinner. Spectacular view of the Lago Cedrino, great atmosphere and very kind service. The antipasti here are par to none. We had a poached egg with a foamy pecorino cream and asparagus, and the “gambero” (shrimp crudo), both of which worthy of a Michelin star restaurant. However, the fifth star is gone, because the main dishes were not good. We ordered the piglet which was extremely dry and tasteless. We also had the duck breast which was also tasteless, couldn’t even tell it was duck at all. A shame. Now that you know what not to order, I highly recommend you go anyways, the pastas seemed very good. Small but great selection of Sardinian wines. Reservation recommended. Enjoy.
